Business Development Manager PPG | Field-Based - Queensland & Northern NSW Full Time | Permanent The Role: To maintain and drive sustainable market share and sales of PPG products and services to the collision repair market specifically with consolidators, franchise and multi branch operations throughout Queensland and Northern NSW. This will be achieved by effective management and sales development of the key market influencers by way of negotiating contract supply arrangements and preferred supplier status with end users and Insurers in the Collision Industry It may also require data collection in order to develop mutually beneficial proposals, plans in order to communicate effectively with distributor partners and their current and prospective customers. Key Accountabilities: Contribute to ensuring that PPG meets EH&S goals, and standards as set out by PPG KPI's and policies. Build strong relationships with the PPG Distribution Network Increase market share and volume through winning competitor business and share of wallet at PPG distributor level including PPG COS PPH. Use PPG Salesforce pipeline tool to manage customers. Establish a call plan for competitor accounts and keeping the Salesforce pipeline tool up to date with relevant activity Assist PPG sales teams & distribution partners to approach and win competitor customers Reporting to senior management on business strengths and areas of improvement that may be required Evaluate competitor customers for PPG Paint and Allied products. Understand competitor pricing models and strategies. Develop plans for Paint & Allied products growth with these customers. Cultivate a detailed understanding of the PPG business’ products and value proposition, local and international industry trends Drafting growth strategies in consultation with senior management Collaborating with sales teams to ensure business development strategies are executed. Requirements: High level of interpersonal & communication skills at all levels of business Ability to enforce process is a non-negotiable requirement Understanding of labour productivity and the relationship to overall profitability. Sound planning, time management and organisational skills. Extensive knowledge of automotive collision repair products and application systems.
