POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business leads, following up on existing opportunities, and closing deals. You’ll also conduct site visits to scope projects, prepare proposals, and ensure clients receive a professional handover with outstanding service.
This is a hands-on position combining sales, client engagement, and technical site surveys. You’ll play a key role in driving the growth of our renewable and electrical services by promoting our solutions and delivering a best-in-class client experience.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ROLE PURPOSE

The Business Development Manager will drive growth for 021 Electrician by generating and following up on leads, developing client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities in the renewable energy and electrical services sector. This role combines sales, client engagement, and site surveys to ensure smooth project delivery and long-term client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and research new business opportunities across solar PV, commercial maintenance, and power monitoring.
  • Generate and follow up on leads, ensuring a consistent and active pipeline.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, businesses, contractors, architects, and local authorities.
  • Conduct site visits (1–2 days per week) to scope projects, take measurements, assess risks, and prepare professional notes and video walkthroughs.
  • Advise clients on the benefits of renewable energy solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Prepare and present proposals, including cost-benefit analyses.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth project planning and delivery.
  • Support contract negotiations, focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with renewable technologies, building regulations, and government incentives.
  • Manage client and project data using CRM and management tools (e.g., ServiceM8).
  • Work with the marketing team to develop sales campaigns and boost brand awareness.
  • Provide concise weekly reports to management on pipeline, leads, and conversions.
  • Ensure professional presentation standards at all times (smart attire and PPE where required).
