Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Support the VP and Business Development Executives to develop and deliver the strategic plan and supporting strategies for Aerospace.

  • Ensure corporate and customer requirements from Civil, Defence and others are fully captured and understood as part of strategy formation. A key element of this is understand future programme requirements and developing strategies for industrialisation.
  • Develop, maintain and communicate/gain approval for the overall strategic plan.
  • Support delivery of the strategic leadership and vision across our portfolio of integrated commodity strategies and strategy processes.
  • Develop our Make vs Buy strategies, driving technology, supply-chain restructuring, capability acquisition and innovation across Civil and Defence Aerospace.
  • Ensure the relevant Integrated Commodity Strategies within Civil and Defence are developed, maintained and communicated.
  • Define, lead, recommend & implement the strategic projects portfolio for Civil and Defence.
  • Ensure cohesion and alignment between technology, sourcing and aftermarket strategies within Manufacturing and Procurement and as part of Civil and Defence strategy.
  • Lead or support special projects (e.g. M&A, Disposals, JV creation, new Partnerships) as required.
  • Maintain competitive benchmarking & analysis for Civil and Defence
  • Lead cross functional across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Aftermarket in delivering the relevant strategy.
  • People leadership and direction setting for Business Development Officers
