  • Ideally you will have some background in manufacturing, MRO, PPE or a trade environment, with experience of working remotely and running a territory as if it were your own business

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our existing team. Matara, part of Rubix in the UK, is a specialist manufacturer of industrial automation products and automation components. This role will report directly to the General Manager for Matara.
This is a varied role with plenty of room to make it your own. You will take responsibility for a territory of around ~80 to 100 customers, building and developing these existing relationships, delivering an exceptional standard of service and identifying sales opportunities to maximise revenue growth. You will also be the first point of contact for a nominated number of Rubix branches & Insites™ in your geographical area

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Generation of demand for Matara’s products and solutions as well as being able to sell the Rubix Motion Control & Automation (MCA) overall value proposition
Completion of business reviews with a small number of existing key accounts in your territory
Be the voice of the customer in the Matara business, ensuring internal departments all understand the customer requirements so we can together drive profitable growth
Ability to problem solve, using technical knowledge from colleagues and suppliers where required
Ability to work well with internal sales colleagues both at Matara and across the MCA business unit to ensure timely follow up on enquiries and quotations
Identification of new business opportunities where we do not have existing relationships, in addition to growing Share of Wallet (SOW) in our existing customers
Play a part in the new product development strategy to ensure we stay at the forefront of technological advancement
Full accountability for a territory sales & margin target in addition to ownership of customer pricing for the customers in your territory
