What We’re Looking For We are looking for a Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-impact partnerships that expand Seeking Alpha’s distribution, licensing footprint, and revenue opportunities. You will work closely with Product, Data, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to execute our partnership strategy, operationalize deals, and ensure they deliver meaningful value for Seeking Alpha and our partners. What You'll Do As a Business Development Manager, you will support the Head of Business Development in sourcing, evaluating, and closing high-impact partnerships that expand Seeking Alpha’s distribution, data licensing, and revenue opportunities. You will play a central role in executing our business development strategy. This includes owning deal pipelines, coordinating cross-functional execution, and ensuring we hit measurable growth targets. You will identify new business opportunities across data feeds, financial platforms, brokers, research providers, enterprise clients, and media partners. You'll negotiate licensing and distribution deals end-to-end, from initial outreach to contract execution. You’ll collaborate with Product, Data, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to operationalize partnerships and deliver value for both sides. Own and manage a qualified deal pipeline, driving new partnership opportunities each quarter and maintaining CRM accuracy. Lead negotiations for licensing, data feeds, distribution, and commercial partnerships, ensuring deals align with revenue, margin, and strategic goals. Source new business by proactively identifying high-value partners across fintech, media, brokerages, institutional platforms, and enterprise channels. Develop materials, proposals, and business cases for BD initiatives, and coordinate cross-functional execution to launch partnerships successfully. Requirements Must Have 3-5 years of experience in business development or partnerships, with a clear track record closing commercial or licensing deals. Demonstrated experience negotiating complex agreements (e.g., licensing, distribution, data feeds, APIs). Strong understanding of financial markets, investment platforms, and how market data is consumed. Ability to build, manage, and prioritize a BD pipeline, moving opportunities from outreach to close. Excellent communication, deal-structuring, and stakeholder-management skills. Nice to Have Direct experience with financial data feeds, APIs, or market-data licensing models. Experience working with brokerages, fintech apps, enterprise research platforms, or financial media partners. Familiarity with content licensing, RSS/feed technology, or data-delivery workflows. Soft Skills Relationship-driven mindset with the ability to influence internally and externally. High ownership, process discipline, and follow-through. Analytical and commercially thoughtful. You are comfortable evaluating deal economics and partner ROI. A proactive, resourceful approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
