Job Description SGS is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join the team in Clayton. You will drive growth, strengthen client relationships, and expand market presence across Victoria. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional who thrives in a solutions-focused environment and is passionate about promoting high-quality training and academy services. Responsibilities include, however not limited to: Promote the company’s Training and Academy products and services across existing and emerging markets. Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop new products, services, and target markets aligned with demand. Monitor customer preferences and market trends to guide sales strategies and future growth initiatives. Act as a key driver of increased market share and long-term business expansion. Develop and implement detailed Account Management Plans to support retention and growth. Ensure timely follow-up after meetings and maintain strong ongoing communication. Field incoming enquiries, provide product/service advice, and process orders. Achieve and maintain a minimum 35% closure rate on all closed group opportunities. Qualifications the Successful candidate will have: Proven experience selling solutions to large multi-site organisations. Background in the training industry, with a strong preference for experience in the auditing sector. Demonstrated success selling service-based solutions to both SMEs and corporate clients. Intermediate to advanced PC skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM/database systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present, negotiate, and build rapport effectively. Additional Information WHY WORK FOR SGS?
