About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our high-performing Industrial sales team based in Southern NSW or ACT.

In this role you will identify your own leads and build relationships to become a trusted partner for the disposal of surplus equipment across categories such as transport, construction, earthmoving, agriculture, and engineering. You will also be provided with a warm book of leads and repeat clients to help you hit the ground running.

Your Responsibilities

• Cover a large region surrounding southern NSW (Albury, Griffith, Wagga, Forbes) and the greater ACT involving regular face to face meetings.
• Work through a mix of high-volume cold calls and warm leads including repeat and dormant accounts to ensure all possible sales opportunities are identified
• Assess potential partners, perform competitive research, evaluate proposed deals and partnerships, and develop business cases for new business targets
• Be the lead point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while providing exceptional customer service
• Build strong professional relationships within your local and national team
• Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to ensure budget, KPIs, and KPAs are being met
• Utilise strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills to secure and close new business
• Plan and execute local sales strategies, proposals, and presentations
• Weekly travel is required to execute your goals in this role
