We’re on the hunt for a Branch Development Manager to join our new branch in Frazer - Watford, who are as passionate about great service as we are. Hours: 7am- 5pm Monday to Friday Location: Frazer, Watford Business Park, Caxton Way, Watford, WD18 8RT This role will require regular travel across London and South East of England. Role Purpose The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in line with Frazer Civils’ strategic objectives. This role involves building long-term relationships with customers, monitoring market trends, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver commercially viable and technically sound proposals alongside a supportive, collaborative working environment within a forward-thinking civil engineering business. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and profitability. Identify and pursue new opportunities across civil engineering, housebuilding, utilities, infrastructure, and construction sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key contractors and suppliers. Collaborate with branch network, commercial, and operations teams to develop competitive solutions. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential risks. Represent Frazer Civils at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows. Monitor and report on performance against business development targets and KPIs. Support the development of marketing materials and digital presence to strengthen brand visibility. and trade shows Required Skills and Experience Experience in business development within the merchant, civil engineering or construction industry. Good understanding of infrastructure, utilities, and groundworks projects. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of tendering and procurement processes. Ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and stakeholders. Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Proficient in CRM systems, MS Office, and digital business tools What's in it for you?
