The Business Development Manager Surgical Solutions will be responsible for growing the segment of surgical/medical applications of the Ultrasound portfolio in Germany and achieving Sales Goals.
This comprises a thorough analysis of the market for therapeutic-surgical Ultrasound devices as well as building relationships with Key Opinion Leading (KOL) Accounts by fostering projects to accelerate growth for our Utrasound surgical solutions. KOLs include but are not limited to Orthopedic, Trauma, Neuro and Spine Surgeons within leading German Hospitals.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• You hold a business degree, Masters would be a preference;
• Relevant industry experience in clinic business for Orthopaedic/Trauma or medical devices,
Neuro and Spine preferred;
• 5+ years proven senior level sales experience;
• Experience with sales processes in hospitals preferred;
• Demonstrated excellence in building strong and influential relationships at all levels with Key Accounts;
• Strong problem solving and proactive service orientation;
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to package information in clear, concise executive level ready format;
• Proven ability to drive commercial projects, influence decisions and meet deliverables in a complex environment;
• Ability to effectively deal with conflicting priorities;
• Must be able to travel regularly around assigned territory;
• A strong business to business selling experience is preferred;
• You have strong written, oral communication and presentation skills;
• Proficient computer skills (CRM system, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• You are an active learner, seeking and leveraging opportunities to gain new skills,
knowledge, and experiences;
• You are able to engage customers by linking their business priorities to Bioventus’ value proposition.

Responsibilities

• Perform a thorough analysis of the market for surgical Ultrasound medical devices in the hospital sector including the competitive landscape and identify KOLs in Orthopedics, Trauma, Neuro and Spine;
• Define, implement and execute strategy to accelerate growth with the Bioventus Ultrasound portfolio in Germany;
• Initiate and accompany sales and marketing projects, identify (sales) opportunities and implement key actions required to accelerate Bioventus sales within assigned accounts;
• Actively seeking new and managing existing Key Customers to achieve commercial goals for the assigned region;
• Train and assist hospital staff with Ultrasonics instrumentation as well as troubleshoot
• Develop and deploy sales strategies within key customers;
• Observing trends for surgical medical applications and stay an expert in the local and national health care environment to enable high level conversations with key stakeholders;
• Establish relationships within Medical Societies and Key Accounts as well as virtual team of key personnel within the customer’s organization, Bioventus, and relevant third party stakeholders;
• Represent Bioventus at National Conferences and Regional Scientific Events;
• Conduct regular business reviews to track progress of key accounts performance vs plan;
• Collaborate closely with the German Sales Organization as well as internal teams to ensure unique customer and business needs are addressed and met (marketing, sales training, professional affairs & medical education, customer care and Finance);
• Develop & utilize key business advisors to accelerate the acceptance of Bioventus products by KOL’s within assigned accounts;
• Provide monthly reports of targeted accounts’ objectives and progress, and other reports as required;
• Responsible for adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and job hazard analyses applicable to specified job activities.
