A leading private label fashion accessories organization is seeking a Business Development Manager to help fuel its continued growth across North America. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new retail partners across mass retail, grocery, drug, discount, and department store channels.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Drive new client acquisition through prospecting, outreach, discovery, and relationship-building with retailers in key channels.
  • Lead tailored presentations that showcase the company’s private label, exclusive brand, and national brand capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across product development, marketing, and finance to develop compelling sales pitches and solutions.
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, networking events, and key industry functions to expand presence and pipeline.
  • Maintain an organized and evolving pipeline of new business opportunities and report regularly on status and conversion metrics.
  • Stay up to date on retail trends, competitive activity, and category insights to inform outreach strategy and opportunity targeting.

Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in a new business development role.
  • Proven ability to sell into major retailers across mass, drug, grocery, discount, and department store channels.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional presence in customer-facing presentations.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint/Keynote and Excel (margin calculations, sales data analysis, planning tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and product development teams.
  • Background in fashion accessories or packaged consumer goods is an asset.
