GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Bloom Box is an e-commerce florist known for our signature bloom boxes and bespoke floral designs. As we continue to grow, we are creating a new role within our commercial team and seeking a proactive Business Development Executive. This position will play a key role in expanding our client base, build strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across corporate, events, and wedding markets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in business development, sales or sales marketing; experience in events, luxury retail or floristry is an advantage.
  • Strong interest in floristry, events and creative design.
  • Resourceful, out-of-the-box thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit — able to creatively source leads, design new approaches and convert opportunities.
  • Bubbly, positive personality and a “can-do” attitude when facing challenges.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
Responsibilities
  • Lead development of proposals, quotations and sales presentations to secure new business.
  • Identify and pursue new business segments (corporate gifting, events, weddings, bridal fairs, collaborations).
  • Create and manage a business development calendar of trade shows, fairs, client meetings and outreach campaigns.
  • Source, nurture and convert leads into long-term partnerships and repeat clients.
  • Work closely with the florist and operations teams to ensure proposals are feasible and delivered to standard.
  • Develop sales materials and pitch decks that reflect the brand and win new accounts.
  • Achieve sales targets and report on pipeline, performance and market insights.
  • Support operations and on-site client servicing when required.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
