The Boundary is looking for a tenacious, goal-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our global Business Development team. Based in our Auckland office in Freemans Bay, you will be the engine room of our regional growth, working within an international framework to hunt, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across the APAC market. This role is critical to expanding our brand awareness and market share. You will focus on the top of the sales funnel for both our established creative services and our emerging SaaS product lines, engaging with senior decision-makers to prove why The Boundary is the global leader in architectural visualisation. What you will do Pipeline Development & Ownership: Take full ownership of the top-of-funnel, qualifying inbound MQLs and relentlessly sourcing outbound leads through tailored messaging and needs-based discovery. Sales Execution & Pitching: Secure sales qualified meetings and play a key role in pitching our products and services to high-level developers and real estate influencers. Market Expansion & Outreach: Actively hunt in existing territories (New Zealand, Australia) while strategically breaking ground in new regions across Asia. Strategic RFP & Proposal Management: Prepare sophisticated RFPs, fee proposals, and sales contracts, ensuring they are competitive, accurate, and fully compliant with local laws. CRM & Data Intelligence: Maintain meticulous CRM hygiene (HubSpot/Salesforce), logging every insight to improve win rates and ensure a seamless handover to production and client services. Brand Ambassadorship: Represent The Boundary at key industry events and on LinkedIn, maximising networking opportunities to build regional brand authority. Product Expertise & Feedback: Develop a deep understanding of our technical products and the broader market landscape, seeking client feedback to brief our development teams on improvements. Strategy & Policy Adherence: Assist in adapting sales strategies for emerging markets and ensure accurate delivery against all selling and trade policies. Proven Track Record: 5+ years of proven work experience in Business Development or a relevant sales-focused role. Sales Discipline: Strong pipeline and time management discipline with the ability to balance multiple deals and priorities under pressure. Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for inexperienced clients. Technical Literacy: Proficiency in CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce) and high computer literacy in MS Office and Google Workspace. Learning Agility & Mindset: A tenacious, goal-oriented fast learner who can absorb technical, creative, and industry-specific knowledge quickly.
