JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ford Agency is partnering with a prestigious DC law firm in their search for an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to support their busy and successful corporate practice group. The Business Development Manager will drive marketing strategy with the goal of increasing the firm’s visibility and affirming the firm’s reputation as a top legal services provider. This individual will collaborate closely with attorneys, and marketing team to manage the pitches and proposals process, and create innovative business development programs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create business development strategies and initiatives in collaboration with attorneys
  • Strategically generate new leads, expand existing clients, and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Research and identify engagement opportunities for the Firm
  • Oversee the RFP, proposal, and pitch process from initial planning to submissions
  • Monitor and track business development progress and deliver reports at monthly meetings

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
  • Master’s or JD preferred
  • 5+ years of business development experience in a law firm
  • Strong project management skills and follow through
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to work with attorneys and other team members in a collegial manner
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and CRM systems
