WE ARE LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER TO JOIN US AT THERMATIC LTD.

As a Thermatic Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and closing new FM business opportunities that are sold at a price to deliver the customer’s requirements without compromising our quality service within target market sectors.
This role requires a broad range of skills including relationship building, networking, process and project management, solution development, commercial and contractual acumen as well as creativity and entrepreneurship, preferably obtained within an FM environment.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong and proven successful experience in a senior sales or business development role within a hard FM environment.
  • Experience in a high-level customer-facing role.
  • Experience in a similar position with the FM industry.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
  • To negotiate and successfully close sales opportunities to meet and exceed agreed sales targets within the target markers agreed by the Director of FM and Managing Director.
  • To identify and build a long-term active pipeline, exploring both existing markets and targeting new market opportunities.
  • Use innovative means to develop new sources of profitable business.
  • Take complete ownership of, develop, and deliver exceptional sales and tender documents and presentations. Generate tenders and relevant document preparation, using the specialist support functions (procurement, People, HSE, marketing etc) as well as Operations and Customer/Account teams.
  • Raise the company and business profile by representing Thermatic at FM industry events, high level networking and always promoting an image of professionalism.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market trends.
  • To develop and build long-term professional customer relationships with existing, new and potential clients. Maintain excellent relationships and after sales support to build mutual confidence in line with the agreed business strategy.
  • Support re-bids and variations for existing clients.
  • Ensure that appropriate sign offs are adhered to when considering new business opportunities.
  • Maintain records and relevant contract documentation in the support of tenders and re-bids for the Business.
  • Deal promptly and professionally with assigned pre-qualifications.
  • Ensure that leadership is fully aware of all activities. Liaise regularly with the Director of FM to ensure they are fully updated on all sales activities and potential new business opportunities. Ensure that specialist functions (eg, People and HSE) are advised of any new potential business to ensure compliance.
  • Lead and mentor junior members of the team.
