Job Summary: The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and expanding market share by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and building long-term relationships with clients. This individual will play a key role in shaping the company’s sales strategies and contributing to its continued success in the industrial and utility equipment sector. Key Responsibilities * Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic markets. * Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners. * Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients. * Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activity. * Collaborate with the sales, marketing, engineering, and product teams to align strategies and ensure successful customer engagement. * Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and products. * Prepare sales forecasts, activity reports, and strategic plans for executive leadership. * Negotiate contracts and close deals that meet revenue targets and margin expectations. * Maintain strong knowledge of company products, features, and competitive advantages. * Foster long-term client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus). * 5+ years of business development or sales experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related sectors. * Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and customer relationship management. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Ability to travel up to 30–50% as needed (domestic and international). * Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and market research tools. Preferred Experience: * Background in aerial lifts, utility vehicles, or heavy machinery sales. * Experience working with municipalities, utilities, or telecom providers. * Familiarity with government contracts is a plus.
