THE VACANCY

Are you passionate about driving business growth and creating lasting relationships? TPT is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Manager for our Defined Contribution (DC) Workplace Pension offering.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of the DC Workplace pension marketplace is essential, with Defined Benefit (DB) and Collective Defined Contribution (CDC) being desirable.
  • Up to date knowledge and experience of the Corporate Pensions Advisory market including product and legislation.
  • Experience of selling DC schemes to key decision makers.
  • Ability to generate own leads.
  • Effective & engaging communication abilities, especially in presentation.
  • Demonstrable evidence of stakeholder management.
  • Experience of DC transition, implementation, and asset transfer.
  • PMI Qualified or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To generate DC business into the Master Trust by targeting a varied and diverse customer base. You will work with your own and internally generated leads to create a pipeline and meet new business targets to support the launch and growth of TPT’s DC workplace pension offering.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Participating in the development of TPT’s proposition to market, identifying and establishing contact with professional Trustees, employee benefit consultancies, corporate advisers, and direct to client opportunities.
  • Manage opportunities through the sales process (RFP and pitch processes) through to on-boarding new clients.
  • Ensure that personal activity, leads, and new business sales targets are met within the DC target market.
  • Work closely with the wider Business Development team to contribute to the strategic approach to support the overall sales process.
  • Create and manage a strong DC business pipeline, manage these ongoing relationships and business pipeline to fruition.
  • Ensure all MI is maintained and accurately recorded at all times, updating CRM system on an ongoing basis.
  • Attend seminars and conferences, man exhibition stands and/or speak at industry events representing TPT.
  • Develop ideas to support sales lead generation working closely with the Head of DC Distribution.
