About the role: The Director of Business Development, Filtration is responsible for identifying, capturing, and growing new opportunities and capabilities for the company. This role is ultimately responsible for growing revenue within the water filtration business, targeting growth with existing and new customers in the US. Success will be achieved by developing a deep understanding of a prospective client base, knowing the current or planned and technical roadmaps, and being cognizant of the competitive landscape. This expertise will inform strategies, revenue forecasts, and aid in technology development plans. This role will manage continuous engagements with current and future clients, generate growth strategies, and monitor buying cycles for opportunities. Conduct application and product training with dealers. Participate in regional and national trade shows in support of existing customers and introducing KDF to new customer. Responsibilities: Leverage existing partnerships to explore new areas of work or opportunities by sustaining and building upon the strong foundation of those client relationships. Build comprehensive account plans and opportunity and relationship maps Meet or exceed quantitative goals for overall account growth and track. Build strong technical expertise and become product expert Collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders, and teams to best determine client needs and then execute business development and growth strategies. Be a brand ambassador. Plan, execute & participate in industry conferences, events, and educational seminars. Make recommendations on support resources needed, possible investment opportunities to grow business. Strong ability to write proposals and create cost models. Conduct training events with multiple dealer networks educating customers on applications and recommended engineering. Requirements Required Qualifications Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiar and proficient in utilizing Power-Point, and Excel. Proven track record of success in strategic development, management and business growth. Ability to work independently and across business functions in a remote office setting Comfortable with video conferencing/calls/meetings and daily interaction. e.g., Microsoft Teams Integrity- possess strong character in all internal and external relationships. Honesty- transparent in dealings with all clients, team members and prospects. Persuasiveness- ability to work past roadblocks and achieve results Initiative- recognize opportunity and take - action.
