Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

Crossroads Equipment Finance Canada (CEFC) has an exciting opening for a Business Development Manager based out of Edmonton, Alberta. Crossroads offer operating and finance leasing as well as direct financing to our commercial customers.
The Business Development Manager defines short and long-term strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates, and closes business deals, maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions, and manages existing client relationships to ensure they stay positive and satisfied.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.A. from an accredited Canadian post-secondary school, or similar preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role preferably in the heavy-duty truck industry.
  • Understanding of business finance.
  • Excellent business sense.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills which include above average communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Above average negotiation skills and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated and strong time management skills.
  • Strong computer knowledge/skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospects for new clients by networking, advertising, cold calling, and other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Conducts research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Attends industry functions, such as association events and conferences to establish new and maintain current relationships with clients for future business.
  • Grows and retains existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services offered to clients.
  • Provides support that continually improves the customer relationship.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements and developing and negotiating contracts.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing deal requirements and financials.
  • Increases sales opportunities to maximizes revenue for the organization.
  • Work in conjunction with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Communicates customer service standards to department personnel.
  • Resolves any customer concerns and provides conflict resolution to customers.
  • Visits customers to provide and maintain excellent customer relations.
