About the role
Looking for an experienced Business Development and Project Manager to drive growth in the commercial solar division. This is a hybrid role where you'll wear two hats: securing new commercial and large-scale solar and battery projects, then delivering them successfully. You'll split your time between winning new business—building relationships with commercial clients, developing proposals, and closing deals—and overseeing project delivery from start to finish, ensuring quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the commercial solar sector
- Building and maintaining relationships with commercial clients and decision-makers
- Developing compelling proposals and tenders for solar and battery installations
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinating with installation teams, contractors, and suppliers
- Overseeing project delivery to ensure quality, compliance, and client satisfaction
- Contributing to business strategy as we expand into larger-scale solar and battery projects
About you
- Proven experience in a Business Development role within the commercial solar industry (or related renewable energy sector)
- Strong track record of closing commercial deals and growing revenue pipelines
- Project management experience—comfortable overseeing job delivery from tender through to handover
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation (preferred)
- Knowledge of commercial solar systems, battery storage, and renewable energy trends (highly valued)
