ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge/Background in the Water Hygiene Compliance industry (or complimentary industry)
  • CRM experience such as Salesforce (or other CRM’s)
  • You will come with a successful track record and a book of industry specific clients.
  • Previous sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and great networking skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong IT skills - experience of using multiple internal systems
  • Strong Team Player
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Good presentation skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • 2+ years of Water Hygiene industry experience
  • Strong technical knowledge, experience and training within Industrial Water Treatments, such as cooling towers, closed systems and steam boilers is beneficial

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical knowledge of Water Hygiene Industry would be very helpful.
  • Health and Safety training and knowledge
  • Clean driving licence - travelling to client’s site is essential for this role
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
  • Degree in a Science subject or Engineering would be advantageous but not essential
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

  • As Business Development Manager within the Sales department you will be responsible for generating new business and re-establishing new contacts.
  • Initially this will not be a people management position, however in time you will grow to lead and mentor the BDA team, increasing their experience in obtaining new prospects and nurturing relationships to onboard new clients to the company.
  • As part of the BDM role, you will also be expected to build on existing relationships by either growing our service delivery through existing services or adding new service lines.
  • You will focus on sales for commercial, industrial and process system water treatment servicing throughout the UK, and you will work with the Company’s core values at the heart of everything you do.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Implement sales plans in line with SMS growth strategy.
  • Implement agreed sales plans to achieve sales targets for Harwell and Nationwide if appropriate.
  • Identify new prospects and develop relationships with existing customer base.
  • Identify opportunities for marketing seminars/events and manage through to completion.
  • Plan events and work with the marketing teams to promote these across various platforms.
  • Arrange meetings for Senior members of the sales team (CEO, CMO, Chairman) and assist with those meetings, including delivering presentations of our service offering and Opuz demonstrations.
  • Identify growth opportunities.
  • Report sales prospects and ideas to the CMO.
  • Champion the sales tracking process using HubSpot and ensure this is onboarded effectively through the rest of the sales teams.
  • Report directly to the CMO on sales performance, team progress, and strategic initiatives.
