This role is responsible for driving strategic business growth, building long-term relationships with key government organizations, public sector enterprises, and private industry partners, and identifying new business opportunities across the defence and aerospace ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in business development, account management, and consultative sales of defence electronics, aerospace systems, or related technology solutions. You will work closely with senior leadership, engineering, and program teams to develop customer-centric solutions, manage strategic accounts, and expand market presence while contributing to long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales and business development plans to drive revenue growth within the defence and aerospace sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across government organizations, defence establishments, public sector enterprises, and private industry partners. Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and long-term programs aligned with organizational objectives. Manage the complete sales lifecycle, including opportunity identification, customer engagement, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure. Collaborate with technical, engineering, and program management teams to develop tailored solutions that address customer requirements. Monitor market trends, industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the defence and aerospace ecosystem. Lead customer presentations, business reviews, and executive-level discussions to strengthen strategic relationships. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and long-term account growth. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, business plans, and market intelligence for leadership review. Represent the organization at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings to strengthen brand presence and generate new opportunities. Ensure compliance with applicable government procurement processes, commercial policies, and industry standards. What Makes You a Great Fit Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; an MBA is preferred. 12+ years of overall professional experience, including significant experience in defence and aerospace sales or business development. Minimum of 8 years of proven experience managing sales and business development activities for defence and aerospace customers. Strong industry network and established relationships with defence organizations, government agencies, public sector enterprises, and leading aerospace companies. Sound understanding of defence electronics, aerospace technologies, electronic systems, and complex solution-based sales. Demonstrated success in strategic account management, business development, contract negotiations, and revenue growth. Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop effective growth strategies. Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with a collaborative and customer-focused approach. Self-driven professional with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic business environment.
