Are you a results driven, sales hungry freight and logistics business development manager, looking for a new role in the Southampton area? This role could be right for you.
My client is offering a fantastic package to help develop their customer base in the Short-Sea, Ro/Ro and Deep Sea Shipping sectors. The right candidate will be an experienced and fully established sales-person who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Shipping Line, developing Short-Sea and or Deep-Sea Trade Lanes and have great knowledge and experience with UK, EU and International Markets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Customer/Business/Route Development Manager Experience is Essential.
  • Experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Shipping Line.
  • Knowledge and experience within Container, Shipping and Ro/Ro sales/operations is Essential.
  • Previous experience working with UK, EU and/or International Markets.
  • Hold a full, clean, UK driving licence.

Responsibilities
  • To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent ocean freight forwarding services.
  • To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
  • Be the forefront of the company’s development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.
  • Develop new and existing Short-Sea Lanes, Ro/Ro Trailer and Container Operations.
