As the Business Development Marketing Student, you will work alongside experienced and talented professionals take part in interesting work assignments that stimulate learning. Our company culture fosters a fun working environment, development of meaningful relationships and continuous learning.

  • Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
  • Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
  • Term length: 12 months
  • Term start: September 2026

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Using Canadian Natural’s existing platform, you will effectively create a purpose-built contract management lifecycle tool with a single repository of service agreements, manage key negotiated terms, coordinate management of counterparties, establish reminders of critical dates and track value and compliance
  • Assist in the monthly tracking of crude quality characteristics for all Canadian Natural’s crude production; this will include the collection of historical quality data for crude production on Feeder Pipelines into Edmonton and Hardisty, Alberta
  • Involves working with both production teams and service providers with the final deliverable being a system to periodically update and publish data
  • Assist in the review of Marketing Business Development opportunities
Responsibilities
  • Currently enrolled in your 2nd or 3rd year degree program in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Previous oil and gas Business Development or Finance experience will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a demonstrable ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to track and follow through on tasks
