Description General Responsibilities The Business Development Officer - Treasury Management is responsible for driving new core deposit growth for Peoples Security Bank & Trust through the acquisition of new treasury management relationships. This role is primarily focused on sourcing, developing, and onboarding new commercial, nonprofit, and municipal clients whose operating accounts and liquidity needs align with the Bank’s strategic growth objectives. This position partners closely with Commercial Relationship Managers and Treasury Support teams to deliver consultative cash management solutions while strengthening the Bank’s deposit base. Essential Duties Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new treasury management relationships with a primary focus on operating deposits and liquidity balances Build and manage a consistent pipeline of new deposit-focused opportunities Conduct discovery meetings to understand client cash flow cycles, liquidity needs, and payment practices Recommend and sell treasury management solutions including business checking, money market accounts, ACH, wires, remote deposit capture, and fraud mitigation services Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers to support new relationship acquisition and deepen existing relationships Coordinate onboarding and implementation with Treasury Support team Achieve assigned annual goals for deposit growth, treasury revenue, and new client acquisition Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecasting data in the Bank’s CRM system Represent the Bank at networking events, community organizations, and industry functions Maintain working knowledge of treasury products, pricing, and competitive market trends Ancillary Duties Actively represents the Bank in public relations and other related community activities. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances. Requirements Education/Training: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred; additional specialized training in treasury management, commercial banking, or business development is beneficial. Skill(s): Strong consultative selling and relationship-building abilities; demonstrated analytical capability; effective independent work habits combined with strong cross-team collaboration; solid understanding of business development practices and deposit-growth strategies. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in treasury management, commercial banking, or business development, including a proven record of sourcing new business opportunities and generating deposit growth.
