Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, our team of Business Development Officers are responsible for managing their own assigned territory. As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining current business, identifying and solving issues and complaint resolution.
Our BDOs form a part of our wider Sales & Marketing team. Whilst the role is predominantly performed out and about in the community, we provide office space in our Subiaco Head Office for administrative tasks and catch ups with the team. Due to the travelling involved, a valid driver’s license is a requirement.
Remuneration is a combination of a competitive base salary, superannuation and an incentive reward program. You will also be provided with a company car, laptop and mobile phone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Increase revenue and items referred within the assigned sales territory
  • Maintain product and service knowledge with an understanding of SKG’s pricing model
  • Sell consultatively, using persuasive selling techniques to gain a better understanding of our client’s needs
  • Maintain a good rapport with all clients within the assigned territory to ensure high levels of referrer and patient satisfaction
  • Carry out market research, including competitor and customer surveys
  • Develop an annual sales business plan
  • Continually provide feedback to the Management Team and make recommendations to enhance positive relations

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales role
  • A highly developed understanding of sales and relationship management methodology
  • A high degree of computer literacy
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • The ability to think on your feet and problem solve
  • Immaculate professional personal presentation
  • An interest in the medical field
    A tertiary qualification within commerce or a business-related field will be looked upon favourably.
