As a Business Development Representative at ACT Commodities in China, you play a crucial role in strengthening ACT’s commercial pipeline in APAC. The role focuses on timely engagement of marketing-generated leads, high-quality qualification, and improving collaboration between marketing and sales. This position ensures early-stage prospects receive consistent attention, enabling Account Managers (AMs) to focus on high-value and late-stage opportunities while maintaining a healthy flow of sales-ready leads. You will Utilize our internal CRM system, cold call, and email to generate new sales opportunities Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs Respond promptly to all marketing-generated leads to maximize engagement windows and prevent pipeline stagnation. Manage early-stage nurturing for all inbound/outbound leads, ensuring consistent follow-up and relationship building Provide structured feedback to marketing on lead quality, trends, and market insights Work closely with Account Managers to ensure smooth lead transitions Identify gaps in content, messaging, or campaign targeting based on real interactions with prospects. Maintain accurate CRM data and report on pipeline metrics Your Expertise: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes: 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or similar role Highly motivated and organized individual who exhibits strong integrity, work ethics and ability to perform under pressure Strong communication skills via phone and email Proficiency with CRM and prospecting tools (HubSpot, Apollo, etc.) Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable with high-volume outreach Experience in SaaS, carbon markets, sustainability, or B2B solutions is a plus If you meet these criteria and are ready to contribute your expertise to a dynamic and challenging environment, we encourage you to apply.
