Black & McDonald’s Service Team is seeking a bright, motivated and high performing individual to join our team in the role of Business Development Representative (BDR). The territory for this position will be the core area of Brantford, Kitchener, Cambridge & Waterloo.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Post-Secondary degree or diploma with a major in engineering, business administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 years’ experience with demonstrable success in a Business Development role, involving financial sales negotiations, with a good insight into the needs, motives and emotions of the client or prospect.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Suite
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • You have high level time management skills and enjoy a great sense of autonomy. You must manage your Sales Funnel efficiently and have an entrepreneurial approach to growing your territory.
  • You can emotionally detach from the outcome of the Sale to ensure we are solving a problem for a client, not simply selling another agreement.
  • You understand that this is not a Technical Sales role, but a pure Business Development role that focuses on improving business outcomes.
  • You have the skillset to properly qualify opportunities by gaining the commitment of prospects to participate in our Sales Process.
