Position Overview: ClearBooks Technology Inc. is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The BDR will play a crucial role in driving the firm’s growth by generating leads, setting up meetings with prospective clients, and contributing to the overall sales pipeline. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about sales, has strong communication skills, and is eager to work in a technology-forward accounting firm. You will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to identify potential clients and initiate meaningful relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role. Experience in accounting, finance, or SaaS industries is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with lead generation tools (e.g., Apollo.ai), CRM systems, and other sales software. Comfortable using technology to streamline and enhance sales efforts.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects and articulate the value of ClearBooks Technology Inc.’s services.
  • Results-Oriented: Self-motivated with a strong desire to meet and exceed lead generation targets.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with sales, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle objections and think creatively to overcome challenges in the sales process.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Use outbound techniques, including cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach, to generate new leads for the firm, with a focus on SMEs and tech startups.
  • Meeting Setup: Proactively engage with leads to set up discovery meetings with potential clients, ensuring a steady pipeline for the sales team.
  • Prospecting: Identify and research target companies that align with ClearBooks Technology Inc.’s ideal client profile, leveraging tools such as Apollo.ai and other lead generation platforms.
  • CRM Management: Maintain and update records of leads, prospects, and customer interactions in the company’s CRM system, ensuring accurate tracking of sales activities.
  • Relationship Building: Establish rapport and build long-term relationships with prospects by understanding their pain points and demonstrating how ClearBooks can address their financial needs.
  • Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities for growth and refine outreach strategies.
  • Collaboration with Sales & Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to align lead generation efforts with campaigns and content strategies. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth transitions from lead to client.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the sales process by identifying bottlenecks and suggesting optimizations to increase efficiency and success rates.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly targets for lead generation and meetings booked, while providing regular reports on progress and performance.
