BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Metals USA is seeking a Business Development Representative in Greensboro NC. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented, carbon-steel (plate, beam, tube) distribution center servicing the defense, commercial, construction, aerospace and fabrication industries.
The Business Development Representative is responsible for the development of targeted sales activities for the Metals USA Greensboro NC Territory. Generates vetted sales leads in growing industries and markets. Responsible for account development of prospects and creates strategy for both volume and margin growth. This position requires a strong understanding of sales, marketing, and customer relationship management to ensure expansion of the company’s market presence and business success.

Responsibilities
  • Develops strategic business and marketing plans to drive growth in volume and profitability.
  • Represents the company at industry events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Researches qualified sales leads in steel consuming industries.
  • Works closely with the organization’s General Managers, Sales Managers, and ISR’s to execute targeted sales call leads.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding pertinent market information.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a Business Development Representative.
  • Adheres to Reliance’s Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
