JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our market presence within the accounting software sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial technologies and a passion for building relationships with potential clients.
Location: 100% Remote role within proximity to Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the accounting software or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial software solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Hubspot, Linkedin sales navigator, Openphone and Gon
Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key partner stakeholders, including CFOs, accountants, bookkeepers and tax managers.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends and product developments to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Partnership Development: Identify potential partnerships and alliances that can enhance our offerings and market reach. Attend industry events throughout the year.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the accounting software industry.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment in business development efforts.
