As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Top Weld Training & Staffing Agency, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and helping us expand our market presence in the welding and manufacturing sectors. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about sales, building lasting client relationships, and contributing to business growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in staffing, recruitment, or a related industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with clients and understand their staffing/training needs.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Knowledge or interest in the welding or skilled trades industry is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
  • Other: Willingness to travel within the region to meet clients and attend industry events.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the welding, manufacturing, and skilled labor industries. Utilize various channels including cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and industry events.
  • Client Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, including manufacturing companies, contractors, and businesses requiring skilled welding professionals and training services.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Qualify leads and manage a sales pipeline to ensure timely follow-up and conversion of prospects into long-term clients.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market needs. Use this information to adjust sales strategies and better position Top Weld in the marketplace.
  • Sales Presentations: Organize and conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing Top Weld’s training programs and staffing solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the recruitment and training teams to ensure client needs are met, and provide feedback to improve services.
  • CRM Management: Accurately track and update client information and sales activities in the CRM system to monitor progress and identify new business opportunities.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.
