Zipline Logistics is a growing third-party logistics provider specializing in domestic transportation solutions including Full Truckload (FTL), Less-than-Truckload (LTL), intermodal, and expedited freight. We’re looking for a high-energy Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us grow our customer base by generating and qualifying leads, building relationships, and setting the stage for long-term partnerships. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Research and identify prospective shippers through outbound outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals). Qualify prospects by understanding their freight needs, pain points, and decision-making processes. Generate meetings for the sales team with mid-to-large volume shippers. Communicate [Company Name]’s transportation capabilities (FTL, LTL, etc.) clearly and effectively. Collaborate with account executives and operations to build custom solutions. Track all activity in the CRM and maintain a clean, organized sales pipeline. Consistently meet or exceed lead generation and appointment-setting targets. Stay informed about industry trends, market rates, and competitor offerings. Requirements: 1–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or sales (3PL industry strongly preferred). Familiarity with FTL, LTL, intermodal, or brokerage services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills. Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a 3PL, freight brokerage, or carrier sales environment. Working knowledge of routing, freight class, rate structures, and accessorial charges. Use of prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or Apollo. What We Offer: Competitive base salary + performance-based commission.
