The Business Development and Partnerships teams at Shopee are dynamic and energetic. The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the No. 1 e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Retail Merchandising (RM) team is responsible for driving the topline performance of assigned suppliers within Shopee’s retail business, focusing on both Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) and profitability. Reporting to the RM Lead, this role involves close collaboration with other retail sub-teams such as the relationship management team, supplier acquisition team, and marketing team, to drive both strategic and tactical initiatives aimed at business growth and improved profitability. This position offers great exposure for highly motivated individuals seeking to thrive in a fast-paced environment, make real-time impact on Profit and Loss (P&L), and sharpen their client management and negotiation skills. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to manage key brands on Shopee.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Drive business growth and achieve P&L goals of assigned accounts/brands
  • Responsible for assortment and purchasing of goods for assigned accounts
  • Manage inventory holding to ensure optimal stock level to meet business needs
  • Prepare product new launches according to the brand’s global launch calendar
  • Working with internal teams to define pricing strategy, based on cost and back margin supported by the brand
  • Manage and maintain content products in online stores under your care
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties while meeting deadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field
  • 0 - 3 years in business development, account management, merchandising or related field within the e-Commerce or retail industry is a plus Fresh graduates are welcome
  • Strong ability to use data-driven approaches to make business decisions
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit, with high attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Highly motivated and ability to adapt to changes in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint slides
