Business Development – SaaS for Housing Associations
Bridge Housing Solutions is going through the most exciting growth in our history. We are undertaking several strategic plans that will continue that expansion, with a particular focus on new technology. We are developing several new SaaS products for the Social Housing Sector with the core aim of reducing homelessness.
We require someone to be the first Business Development team member in this new section of the business. As well as your commercial skills it is vitaland absolutely requiredthat you have experience of working in or selling into the Social Housing Sector ideally in technology.
You must also demonstrate a proven ability to develop new businesses and partnerships within that sector. You will be well networked amongst the local authorities and housing associations operating in this sector.
You will be responsible for onboarding and maintaining relationships among business partners (Housing Associations, Local Authorities and Homeless Charities) .
Your role will involve managing the relationships with our housing partners from start until implementation as well as building an ongoing relationship.
Within this position, you will have the financial responsibility of increasing sales revenue and gross profit via incremental business.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Generating and developing a sales pipeline by working closely with our prospective stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the retention of existing accounts and development of new revenue opportunities
  • Providing clear and accurate proposals to customers, in line with their needs and requirements
  • Exceeding monthly sales targets by identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new customers
  • Experience in presenting to C-level stakeholders and overcoming objections to capture new business opportunities.
  • Identifying opportunities for new partnerships; and strengthening existing relationships and collaborations.
  • Developing and executing plans for strategic growth

Duties

  • Ensure achievement of sales against own target.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities that will deliver targeted revenue
  • Engage with the customer to ensure expectations are being met both pre-and post-sale.
  • Build long-term relationships with assigned clients at a strategic & influencing level.
  • Track projects in your sites through to satisfactory completion.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure we can deliver our promises.
  • Understand and ensure adherence to company policy, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with internal and external partners as required.
  • Attend training courses as directed by the line manager.
  • Ensure customer enquiries are dealt with promptly.
  • Ensure delivery of balanced sales and services revenues in line with sales targets.
  • Achieve sales activities in line with KPIs set as part of the review process.

What will make you successful?

You’ll be digitally savvy, with experience working in social housing/project and partnership management and keen to build a career in this area. A quick learner, you’ll also be comfortable with presenting the idea, a strong communicator and possess good attention to detail. You will also have:

  • At least five years of proven sales experience successfully selling into the social housing sector or a related discipline.
  • Experience in selling and business development to Registered Housing Providers and Local Authorities clients.
  • Experience in engagement with C-Suite, senior management teams and relevant decision-makers
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable working with senior management level both externally and internally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a variety of influencing styles to enable effective closure of deals.
  • Show initiative by moving opportunities forward to achieve targets.
  • Demonstrates a strategic focus – the ability to turn prospects into complete sales order closure.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Bitrix, HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Demonstrable networking capabilities and established relationships with key individuals in target client organisation(s).
  • Demonstrable achievement of achieving sales targets in your career with consistency and sustainability
  • Proven capabilities in building sustainable new revenue streams from new clients.
  • Demonstrable understanding of a recognised sales methodology and its adoption (e.g., SPIN, Miller Heiman, Challenger Selling).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Professional, numerate, articulate, and personable
  • Results driven with commercial focus.
