Description

Position: Business Development Sales Director
Paraza Pharma is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Sales Director located in England, United Kingdom, to build our Europe-based business development sales efforts. You will report to the Chief Business Officer located in Canada. The position will evolve with the growth of the business, and you will play a key role in building our sales team in Europe and be responsible for expanding our client base throughout Europe.
This is a field position, based out of your home office, with support from the Head Office in Montreal, Canada as well as other sales team members in the US, and all of our Montreal based scientific team. Paraza may consider a flexible office space in future as business needs evolve.
You must have a willingness and ability to travel within the EU as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of science. Advanced science degree and/or degree in business is an asset.
  • 5+ years industry experience, including minimum 3+ years sales experience in life sciences company.
  • Prior preclinical CRO/drug discovery CRO sales experience required.
  • Good understanding of preclinical drug discovery processes and requirements.
  • Proven track record of sales achievements related to sales targets (and related metrics).
  • Strong negotiation skills with a deep understanding of partnership dynamics. Capacity to build robust network with an aim to grow the business. Excellent business/industry awareness and analytical skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with a CRM (preferably Salesforce), familiarity with LinkedIn, and professional competence with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Act according to the company’s values and policies, with integrity, and ethically.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for lead generation/prospecting, and conversion to close of business.
  • Develop annual executable sales plan and deliver quarterly/annual sales targets within designated territory.
  • Create a dynamic pipeline of new business opportunities, and expand business with the existing clients.
  • Act as “project lead” for the RFI/RFP/Quote process for strategic accounts, collaborating with internal teams
  • Maintain accurate customer data and updates in Salesforce.
  • Assist in understanding market conditions by reporting noteworthy information regarding customers, competitors, and the marketplace that can help grow Paraza’s business and inform decision making.
  • Actively engage in partnering events and meetings and represent Paraza in the business community at industry events.
  • Suggest, lead, execute and monitor specific marketing and outreach campaigns to increase awareness and interactions with prospective clients in Europe, in coordination with Paraza management and support.
