About the role We are looking for someone who wants to lead internal development projects with a focus on customer relations, innovation, and business development. In this role, you will work independently as well as collaboratively with the rest of the organisation. You are comfortable building strong relationships in a consulting environment with a high-performance culture and taking initiative in communication with colleagues. You act responsibly and solution-oriented, with sensitivity to the regulations of the business law sector and the challenges they may entail. You'll support the development and implementation of the international MBD plans for our Stockholm office: Managing highly competitive bids and tenders using our bids platform Loopio Ownership over the opportunity and pitch pipeline and developing BD strategy for the office Facilitating cross-selling opportunities and ensuring emphasis on clients in the firmwide Strategic Client Programme Developing and managing campaigns and drafting BD content for multiple platforms Leading event preparation and planning strategy to promote the office in relevant directory, deal table and awards submissions Supporting MBD budget management and developing key MBD-related infrastructure, including deal & credentials databases, pitching templates and CRM Conducting client and market analysis and identification of new business areas and client needs Developing cross-selling and new sales opportunities together with partners and lawyers Supporting the client experience journey, from onboarding to project completion Contributing to the firm's sustainability initiatives Supporting market and business planning to strengthen Bird & Bird's brand positioning Analysis and data collection to support strategic decision-making What We Offer Bird & Bird is committed to maintaining an inclusive working environment and we are an equal opportunities employer. As Business Development Specialist, your responsibility is to continue positioning our brand, driving growth, and developing and packaging our offering for both clients and current and potential employees. Key requirements: Previous experience in a professional services environment, ideally on an international basis, as a trusted adviser to partners and key stakeholders. Experience of an international law firm or financial services would be highly advantageous Specific business development experience including in relation to pitching, business development strategy and project management Experience working in both client- and sales-oriented roles, with experience in B2B marketing and brand building Experience from a consulting organisation and partner-owned companies Strong writing skills, proficiency in MS applications and excellent communication skills A proactive mind-set, a can-do attitude and the ability to take responsibility Ability to multitask, prioritise projects and respond quickly to urgent requests with a strong client focus Comfortable with prioritising and reprioritising when needed, working proactively, and getting things done Application If you are interested in starting a meaningful career with us, please send your CV, cover letter and any other relevant documents.
