Description
Position Overview The Business Development Specialist supports the Vice President/General Manager and regional leadership in identifying, tracking, and supporting new business opportunities across Southeast market sectors. This role focuses on research, outreach coordination, and relationship support—engaging in conversations, building connections, and helping surface opportunities for Elford in a natural, professional way. Key Responsibilities * Support execution of regional business development strategies and pursuit efforts * Research, identify, track, and maintain project leads and client contacts in the CRM * Coordinate outreach, schedule meetings, and assist with follow-up activities * Support Market Sector Leaders by building and maintaining client and industry relationships * Engage in industry conversations and networking settings to help identify potential opportunities for Elford * Monitor market activity and industry trends to support sector awareness * Maintain organized records of client, consultant, and industry interactions * Participate in internal BD meetings and attend industry events as appropriate * Collaborate with Marketing on proposals, qualifications, and interview materials * Provide administrative and logistical support for business development activities  Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience * 3–5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or a client-facing role * Construction industry experience a plus Skills * Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills * Comfortable engaging with new people and contributing to ongoing industry conversations * Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience or willingness to learn * Team-oriented, detail-focused, and proactive Interested but Not a Perfect Match?
