Job summary Under general supervision of the Branch Manager, the Business Development Specialist is to specialize in building relationships with referral partners as well as recruiting new loan originators. Retaining marketing partners, develop business strategy and researching market trends. Essential job functions * Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement. * Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients. * Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning. * Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors. * Recruit new licensed loan originators and manage loan volume Minimum requirements *  High School or GED required, and/or mortgage marketing preferred. * Knowledge, Skills and Abilities *  Strong understanding of industry-standard Marketing techniques. * Working knowledge of standard Marketing delivery channels, such as print, online, digital, social media and interactive. * Ability to write clear and effective marketing copy. * Standard office practices and procedures. * Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. * Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. * Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines. Compensation Disclosure This is a non-exempt, hourly position. The pay range for this role is $25.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Overtime is paid in accordance with California state and federal labor laws. Additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive pay, may be available based on performance and business needs. At-Will Employment This position is classified as at-will employment in accordance with California law. Employment may be terminated by either the employer or employee at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable law. Work Location This position is primarily based in our office located at 3625 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. Ste 258. Regular in-office attendance is required during standard business hours.
