As a Business Development Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in expanding community partnerships and developing employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. You’ll combine sales savvy, creative problem-solving, and human-centered advocacy to help individuals find fulfilling jobs—and help businesses discover exceptional employees. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Build strong partnerships with local employers, civic groups, and community organizations to expand inclusive hiring opportunities.   * Conduct outreach and networking to identify new business relationships and placement sites.   * Collaborate with our team to match job seekers with meaningful employment based on their unique abilities, skills, and interests.   * Support individuals through every step of their employment journey—from discovery and training to long-term success on the job.   * Provide on-site coaching and employer education to ensure successful placements.   * Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and meet performance goals for placements, satisfaction, and community impact. WHAT YOU BRING * A passion for helping others succeed and a drive to make a difference.   * Proven experience in business development, sales, marketing, or employment services.   * Strong communication, organization, and networking skills.   * Comfort working with multiple stakeholders—including funders, families, and business leaders.   * Tech proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Set-Works, SharePoint).   * Valid driver’s license (Class E within 30 days of hire). Preferred: - Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or in vocational rehabilitation. - Knowledge of DMH and VR billing processes. - Bachelor’s degree (experience may substitute for degree).
