POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist who will serve as the face of our organization in the community — building relationships, driving referrals, and representing our mission with professionalism and passion. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated, relationship-focused professional to lead our growth efforts and expand our reach throughout the Greater Sacramento area.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or community relations (healthcare or senior services experience preferred but not required).
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, self-directed work style.
  • Comfortable engaging with diverse audiences from executives to community members.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other referral partners.
  • Identify and develop new referral sources through networking, events, and targeted outreach.
  • Represent SHS at professional and community events, delivering presentations and building brand visibility.
  • Partner with internal leadership to ensure a seamless client onboarding experience for new referrals.
  • Monitor outreach activities and results, providing insight and strategy recommendations for continuous growth.
