POSITION OVERVIEW

Malahat SkyWalk is a premier Vancouver Island destination, attracting guests from across Canada and around the world. In 2026, we are focused on expanding tourism partnerships to grow our B2B revenue and increase international and domestic visitation. We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist with a proven track record in tourism industry sales, destination marketing, and partnership development-someone who can hit the ground running, leverage industry connections, and think strategically to deliver results.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales & Marketing, you will build, manage, and grow partnerships across the tourism industry-including cruise lines, OTAs, tour operators, travel trade partners, schools, and group markets.
You’ll lead outreach in key international markets (Asia, South Asia, Europe, and the U.S.), represent the attraction at trade shows and familiarization (FAM) tours, and develop initiatives that bring visitors directly to our doors. You’ll also manage the Concierge/Frontline Tourism Referral Program, an incentive program that strengthens relationships with local hotels, visitor centres, and frontline ambassadors to drive direct referrals and ticket sales.
This role requires someone who can manage the entire B2B sales process-from market development to closing partnerships-and ensure seamless communication between external partners and internal teams. You’ll also work closely with the Marketing & Brand Manager to align B2B initiatives with seasonal campaigns that support our monthly visitation goals.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualification is not mandatory; however, it is preferred and will be considered an asset:

  • Knowledge of the Victoria and Vancouver Island tourism market (preferred)
