Lead the Way in Shaping Circularity – Join Valmet’s Growth Journey! We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join the Strategy and Business Development team of Energy and Circularity business unit. We are supporting our businesses in planning and building new growth based on strategic initiatives. Current hot topic is electrification of heat and steam production in industries, where our customers need new solutions to renew their plants. As Business Development Specialist you will be developing business plans and go-to- market plans in active dialogue with customers, with our technology units and with external technology suppliers. You are also working as a specialist in cross-functional teams in implementing the new businesses. In this role, the main internal stakeholders are based in Tampere or in Vantaa, therefore your preferred location would be either one of these Valmet offices. In this role you will report to the Director - Strategy, R&D and Business Development in Energy and Circularity Business Unit. Who is the professional we are looking for? To succeed in this role, you need to combine commercial business acumen and good communication with practical touch to work. Experience in electrical systems in industries is a definite benefit. The qualified candidate should fulfil the following requirements: Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience, such as project development or sales in relevant industry University degree in engineering or economics Relevant experience in energy, paper, pulp or other industries Proven ability to convert customer needs and opportunities into sales Demonstrated proactiveness and capability to work independently High level competence in investment calculations Effective written and oral communication skills in English along with presentation, negotiation and analytical skills.
