About the Role:
Almatar Trips DMC is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Supervisor to join our team and oversee the growth of our B2B sales in international markets.
This role is designed for a highly motivated individual with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, particularly in hotel sales, B2B systems, and destination management.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring the sales team, driving new business opportunities, and managing relationships with international travel agencies that cater to clients seeking travel services in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to achieving individual sales targets, the Senior Sales Executive will oversee a team of sales professionals, ensuring alignment with company objectives, market growth, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the sales team to drive sales of Saudi Arabia-based travel products (hotels, flights, and land arrangements, MICE) to international travel agencies and tour operators.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing partners across international markets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key international travel agencies, corporate clients, and tour operators.
- Supervise and mentor junior sales staff, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent performance and professional development.
- Oversee the preparation of quotes, negotiations, and closing of deals for hotels, flights, and land arrangements with international partners.
- Manage the sales funnel, track performance, and report regularly on progress against sales targets and OKRs.
- Ensure the sales team stays up-to-date with the latest travel trends, industry changes, and competitive landscape in Saudi Arabia.
- Provide exceptional support to travel agencies, addressing queries and resolving any issues or challenges faced by partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational processes and enhance the customer experience.
- Represent Almatar Trips DMC at international travel trade shows, events, and meetings when required. Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the travel sales (B2B sector), preferably hotel sales, tour operators, B2B platforms, DMCs (Destination Management Companies), or similar roles.
- Proven leadership experience, including team management and mentorship, within a sales environment.
- Strong knowledge of B2B sales systems, booking platforms, and CRM tools used in the travel industry. Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive business growth and exceed sales targets.
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships with international travel agencies and corporate clients.
- In-depth understanding of the Saudi Arabian travel market, including key destinations, trends, and competitor offerings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all organizational levels.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel functions and other MS systems.
- Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions while managing a diverse sales team.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented, with a high level of accountability and ownership.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex sales cycles and customer needs.
- Willingness to travel internationally for business development purposes, as needed.
