QUALIFICATIONS OF A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TRAINEE:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred
  • Previous experience in business development, sales, and/or customer service is a plus
  • Self-motivated, proactive individuals eager to take initiative when needed
  • Detail-oriented individuals able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $54,523.00 - $63,818.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Assist in supporting the sales and customer service team in preparing and executing sales pitches and taking customer service appointments face to face
  • Conduct on the ground market research to understand industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to best strategize business development opportunities
  • Support the development and execution of sales and client relations strategies to generate leads and expand the business
  • Attend all team meetings with clients and senior management staff to monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Shadow senior business development staff as they carry out their daily duties to ensure a thorough and well-rounded understanding of business operations
