Description

If you are an experienced commercial property and casualty underwriter with strong business development and relationship skills, we would like to hear from you.
As part of the UKI team, you will promote Chubb’s capabilities and lead our business and growth ambitions across all key commercial lines and relationships in our ROI/NI region. This requires a passion for business development as well as broad knowledge and experience across commercial product lines.
You would also be responsible for property and casualty development underwriting in the ROI/NI region – acquiring and exercising your own authority in order to quote and bind new business opportunities in-line with our appetite and best practices.
You will report to the Head of Distribution and the Property and Package Manager based in Dublin, and as part of our matrix structure,
Although the role is aligned to our regional hub in Dublin , your time would be apportioned between face-to-face engagement with sales and underwriting colleagues in Dublin, face-to-face business development with the NI broker panel as well as an element of flexible home working. You will be required to travel to fulfil your duties.
Our expectation of this position encompasses underwriting excellence, relationship management and an aptitude for negotiating and closing deals.

  • Positive reputation as a dynamic business developer and good broker relationships.
