You'll identify and develop strategic partnerships with Barcelona-based companies, Catalan government agencies, and Mediterranean industrial clients interested in sustainable technology solutions, create market penetration strategies for Barcelona's smart city initiatives and sustainability programs, and develop business proposals and presentations that resonate with Catalan business culture and innovation ecosystem. Your responsibilities include conducting market research and competitive analysis for the Barcelona/Catalonia sustainable technology sector, developing pricing strategies and business models for Spanish market conditions, and building relationships with key stakeholders in Barcelona's waste management, clean energy, and smart city industries. You'll also create sales materials and marketing collateral for Spanish-speaking audiences, develop lead generation and qualification processes for Barcelona prospects, and establish partnership frameworks with Catalan technology companies, research institutions, and project developers. Additionally, you'll analyze Spanish regulatory requirements and regional incentive programs for waste-to-energy projects, develop business development metrics and tracking systems for Barcelona market penetration, and collaborate with Catalan partners to structure deals and project financing arrangements. Required Skills: Business Development: Experience with Mediterranean business culture, partnership development, and market expansion Spanish Market: Understanding of Spanish business environment, regulatory framework, and regional dynamics Innovation Ecosystem: Knowledge of Barcelona's startup and innovation community Relationship Building: Strong networking skills for Spanish business and government environment Languages: Fluent English and Spanish required, Catalan language skills highly preferred Why It's Cool: Barcelona is one of Europe's most dynamic innovation hubs with ambitious smart city and sustainability goals, and you're building the business relationships that will bring cutting-edge waste-to-energy technology to one of the Mediterranean's most forward-thinking cities. The partnerships you develop will enable Barcelona and Catalonia to transform their waste streams into clean energy while contributing to the region's leadership in smart city innovation and circular economy development. This is where Mediterranean business culture meets environmental innovation, where you'll be creating deals that could make Barcelona a model for sustainable waste management throughout Southern Europe. Your work will contribute to Catalonia's sustainability leadership while building expertise that makes you invaluable in the Mediterranean clean technology business development sector. Canary Islands Option: Build Barcelona partnerships from paradise, where Catalan innovation meets Atlantic entrepreneurial energy to create breakthrough business opportunities in sustainable technology. Develop strategic relationships with ocean views, craft business strategies with your international team over beachside collaboration sessions, and find inspiration for your business development approaches in the vibrant, innovative culture you observe in Canary Islands communities.
