POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Business Development Associate with a strong biotech or life sciences background, who is comfortable working at the intersection of laboratory research and client-facing business development. The ideal candidate preferrably will have a working knowledge of API or comparator sales, and experience or interest in Organ-on-a-Chip (OoC) and organoid models.
This hybrid role blends scientific validation with strategic sales efforts, focusing on promoting advanced human-relevant models and helping clients in pharma, biotech, or CRO/CDMO sectors access customized solutions for drug development, testing, and translational research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) in Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology, or a related life sciences field.
  • Hands-on lab experience in cell culture, organoids, or OoC platforms.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of API sales, comparator sourcing, or clinical trial supply chains.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including client-facing presentations.Ability to manage both scientific and commercial tasks with strong organizational skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a BD, sales, or client service role within a biotech, CRO, CDMO, or clinical supply company.
  • Understanding of regulatory considerations for comparators, biosimilars, or preclinical model validation.
  • Experience with CRM tools, sales pipelines, and market research for life sciences products.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in human-relevant testing models, non-animal technologies, and regulatory drivers (FDA/EMA 3R principles).Laboratory or R&D experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage prospective clients in pharma, biotech, or clinical trial sectors, particularly those sourcing APIs, comparators, or human-relevant preclinical models.
  • Support technical sales and partnerships, presenting our OoC/organoid platforms and associated services in a commercially compelling, scientifically accurate way.
  • Participate in proposal generation, quote preparation, tender responses, and follow-up discussions for B2B clients.
  • Contribute to laboratory PoC or validation studies (approx. 30–40% lab work) to support client onboarding and technical demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with internal R&D and data teams to translate experimental insights into client-relevant deliverables or decision tools.
  • Build and maintain CRM records, track leads, and monitor competitor activity in API/comparator services and human-relevant testing models.Represent the company at conferences, client meetings, and industry networking events.
