4 BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST(S)

Position Specifics: Direct Hire career opportunity, with a fast growing specialized industry. Looking for candidates that want to learn and grow. A very robust ”on the job” Sales Training and Mentorship program offered to candidates.
Compensation: $50-80K (depending on experience level) + benefits (after 90 days) + sales commission (after training completed - 6 months)
Location: Windsor, ON
Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel to US to meet with customers, and therefore eligible for a E2 Work VISA (requirements include possessing a degree/diploma, US/Can/Mex citizen, possess a passport and ability to obtain a Police Clearance). Traveling will commence on/after the first six (6) months.
The Business Development Specialist actively takes part in the Sales Training and Mentorship Program, designed to enhance the skills of both new and seasoned junior sales professionals aiming to elevate their careers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Development Specialist works closely with Technical Sales
Engineers and other industry professionals to learn, understand, and apply the employers sales techniques and unique product/service knowledge.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Business Development Specialist is responsible for lead generation within new and existing clients and supporting Outside Sales.with the progression of sales opportunities throughout the sales pipeline.
The Business Development Specialist works across a broad range of industries including
Automotive, Food and Beverage, Consumer Products/Electronics, Metal Fabrication and Processing, Road Infrastructure and Maintenance, Packaging, and Pharmaceutical.

Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, the duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Specialist include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Generate leads and sales opportunities through research, prospecting, networking, and outreach (both cold and warm outreach via phone, email, etc.) with new and existing clients;
  • Qualify leads by evaluating potential needs and aligning them with the company and services provided
  • Scheduling client meetings and accompanying Technical Sales Engineers as directed
  • Support Sales Team by assisting in the development of sales materials, preparation for meetings, preparing proposals, and providing other administrative assistance as needed
  • Utilize Net Suite ERP and other CRM systems as the primary tool for managing and tracking the selling process, ensuring information entered is up-to-date for all outreach activity, leads, and opportunities
  • Skill development through formal and informal training relating to machine vision, controls, robotics, and other automation systems
  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline status to the Director of Sales or other stakeholders as required
  • Collaborate with the sales team to share insights, strategies, and best practices
  • Collaborate with other departments to learn the operations, ensure a seamless sales process, and ensure client satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), Business, Life Sciences (Biology/Chemistry/Physics), or Computer Science with a keen interest in a career in technical sales ( or a similar diploma)
  • One (1) year experience in cold calling/outreach and opportunity generation is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of machine vision systems, PLC, electronics, robot programming, and automation is an asset
  • Knowledge of computer programming including Microsoft Visual C# is considered a strong asset
  • Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and the ability to problem solve
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative and as a team member
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders and clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software
  • Possess a valid G Class driver’s license and reliable vehicle, as ability to travel with their own vehicle to the clients’ locations is a significant and inherent component of the job
  • Must have the ability to travel regionally within North America as needed
  • Must have the ability to travel across the US/Canada border
  • Must have the ability to meet the requirements of a E2 Work VISA
  • Successful police clearance required upon hire
