We are seeking an experienced Business (Account) Director – Client Services (MedCom, Life Sciences) to join our growing medical communications team, supporting clients in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and life sciences industries. You will serve as the primary client liaison, overseeing the successful execution of services and deliverables while fostering long-term partnerships through strategic direction, operational excellence, and exceptional communication.
This role is focused on client management and internal team leadership—sales or business development is not a core responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of experience in a medical communications agency or similar environment (integrated services agency in biotech, pharmaceutical, and life sciences industries), with direct client-facing responsibilities; or 3-5 years of experience being the main client (day-to-day) point of contact
  • Background in life sciences, communications, or healthcare preferred
  • Deep understanding of scientific content development and the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-channel projects with cross-functional teams
  • Self-directed, highly organized, effectively manages time and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Comfortable navigating and working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
  • Strong computer and software skills
  • Passion for excellence and extremely detail oriented
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Occasional travel required (up to 10%)

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, communications, marketing, or related field
  • Master’s degree in life sciences, communications, marketing, or related field a plus
