We are seeking a manager who has a mix of strong leadership, business acumen and experience of bidding and tendering in an education and/or workforce development environment. This exciting role will work closely with Skills and Partnerships colleagues and academic teams to identify, develop, and position an innovative, coherent, and compelling business-readiness offer that meets employer needs and aligns with institutional priorities.

To succeed in the role, you should have:

  • Experience of providing high-level specialist advice and support in relation to bidding, tendering, and contract reporting.
  • Experience of leading and working within a team to deliver against targets through proactive employer and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience of carrying out a range of highly complex administration activities including contributing to external engagement, tenders, and external funding.
  • Organisational capabilities in the use of CRM and related reporting systems
  • Ability to inspire and lead a team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong knowledge of key account management frameworks, bidding, tendering and contract delivery methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the apprenticeship levy, degree apprenticeships and broader workforce and organisational development practices.
